Engaged in the teaching and research of disaster prevention and mitigation in the fields of safety science and engineering, mining engineering and civil engineering. Awarded the second prize for the State Science and Technology Advancement. Awarded the first prize, the second prize and the third prize for Ministerial and Provincial-Level Science and Technology Awards. Presided over a project of National Key R&D Program of China, and presided over more than 40 projects of The National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministerial and Provincial-Level scientific and technological research and horizontal scientific research. Participated in researches such as the 863 Program, the NSFC Key Program, and Chinese Academy of Engineering Projects. Published 2 academic monographs, as well as more than 30 papers in SCI and EI.
Developed three large-scale security engineering applications based on 3S information technology:
(1)Risk analysis system for mine rock mass dynamic disaster based on microseismic method (MapRAS)
(2)Expert system for preventing and controlling impact pressure
(3)Expert system for preventing and controlling coal and gas outburst
